If the dispersant is not proper, the color will become coarse after flocculation, and the effect on the gloss is similar to that of matting powder, which will affect the natural gloss.
Preventing floating color bloom
The main role of the dispersant is to prevent the floating color bloom, add the right dispersant, whether it is the floating color bloom in the tank or the floating color bloom of the paint film, can be improved or eliminated.
Improve coloring power
Adding dispersant can improve the dispersion and stability of pigment, and also improve its coloring power.
Decrease viscosity and increase the loading amount of pigment
Adding suitable dispersant can reduce the viscosity of color paste, so as to enhance the loading amount of pigment and improve the production efficiency.
Reduce flocculation, increase constructability and usability
If the dispersant is not properly matched, there will be obvious color difference between the fingered and unflocculated areas, and the coloring power of the pigment will be reduced after flocculation, which will bring difficulties in color mixing and paint construction. Prevent from returning to coarse, increase storage stability

Increase the transparency of organic pigment or the covering power of inorganic pigment
Generally used in aluminum powder paint on the color paste, the higher its transparency, the better, and for the plain color paint, and hope that its color paste covering rate is higher, in fact, this is related to the size of the pigment particle size. As the particle size increases, the ability to scatter light increases until the maximum value, and then begins to decline.
This ability to scatter light rays improves the covering power of the pigment. When the scattering ability reaches the maximum, the particle size continues to increase, and the covering power decreases, while when the pigment particle size is below a certain value, the transparency increases as the particle size decreases. Dispersant can not change the characteristics of pigment itself, but it can control the distribution of pigment particle size, so that it can achieve the ideal color effect.
Improve grinding efficiency and reduce production cost
Wetting dispersant can make the air and water on the surface of the pigment, more quickly replaced by the medium liquid of grinding, and at the same time make the separation of the primary particles of the pigment achieved in the dispersing stage to be maintained and controlled. All these improve the grinding efficiency and reduce the energy consumption and labor cost.
Prevent settling
