Introduction

Introduction

Pigment Yellow 62 (CAS 12286-66-7) is Hansa yellow lake pigment, its shade is slightly reddish than pigment yellow 13; it has good plasticizer resistance and heat stability in plastic PVC, light resistance 7 (1/3SD), 1/25SD light fastness 5-6 , The color power is slightly lower. Mainly used in plastic HDPE, temperature resistance 250℃/5min, size deformation phenomenon, also suitable for coloring of polystyrene and polyurethane.

P.Y. 62 stands out for its balance of color quality, processing adaptability, and cost-effectiveness. Its calcium salt structure and naphthol backbone endow unique properties, making it a preferred yellow pigment for decorative and functional applications.

Package and Delivery

●   25KG Kraft bag, 400KG Carton Box.
●   Lead Time: Normally around 15 days after signed contract.

Advantages

1. Excellent Thermal Stability

  • Resists decomposition up to 180–200°C, making it suitable for high-temperature processing in thermoplastics (e.g., PE, PP, PVC) without color degradation.
  • Maintains hue and chroma during extrusion, injection molding, or thermoforming, ideal for plastic products requiring heat resistance.

2. Vibrant Color with High Tinting Strength

  • Exhibits a bright greenish-yellow hue with high color saturation, comparable to cadmium yellow but without toxicity.
  • Low dosage (0.1–1% by weight) achieves vivid colors, reducing pigment consumption and cost in formulations.

3. Good Light and Weather Fastness

  • Achieves ISO 6–7 light fastness on polyester substrates, suitable for moderate outdoor applications (e.g., signage, architectural coatings) with minimal fading over time.
  • Resistant to atmospheric pollutants, acids, and alkalis, enhancing durability in exposed environments.

4. Non-Toxic and Environmentally Friendly

  • Free of heavy metals (e.g., cadmium, lead), complying with strict regulations (EU REACH, US FDA for non-food contact), making it safe for consumer products, toys, and packaging.
  • Reduces health risks during manufacturing and use, unlike inorganic yellow pigments with heavy metal concerns.
